The Gingko Biloba would be one of the oldest known tree families. Particularly widespread in Southeast Asia, the 40-crore tree owes its nickname to the price that a French botanist paid in the 18th century to acquire a few plants of the much sought-after tree.

Particularly resistant and used in pharmacopoeia for centuries, the Gingko Biloba has characteristic leaves which inspired the great jewelers of the early twentieth century in their jewelry paying tribute to nature.

The gingko leaf is also the symbol of the city of Tokyo since 1989. It carries the signs of the city, growth, prosperity, charm and tranquility.

This vintage bracelet required hours of work by the talented craftsman who made it in the 1960s. A unique piece, this special order was made at the request of a Chinese client who had emigrated to France and wished to find a symbol of her origins on her wrist.
