The certificate of authenticity
Each jewel that is sold on our site systematically comes with a certificate of authenticity. This document is drawn up and signed by our approved Jewelry - Gemstones Experts.
Our jewelry certificates are valid for insurance, division, inheritance... for 20 years.
Real identity cards, our certificates present the exact characteristics of your jewel observed by our Jewel Expert at the time of their writing.
This document is of a crucial importance in particular for antique jewels and unique creations. Indeed, the antique jewel or the custom made jewel, if it is preserved in good condition, sees its value evolved in time contrary to a new jewel of series which will lose a lot of value. This is why no value is indicated on the certificate. The certificate must be delivered with the purchase invoice which establishes the price of the jewel at the time of purchase. This price can be revised over time, thanks to the certificate of authenticity.
In the event of resale, of litigation with your insurances or within the framework of an inheritance, you will be able to thus assert your rights.
Note : With a minimum value of 180 €, the certificate of authenticity is offered for any order on our site.
What are the differences from invoices - documents transmitted in traditional jewelry shops ?
Our certificates have nothing to do with the certificates or cards that can be given to you in jewelry because they are written and signed by our approved Jewelry - Gemstones Expert.
- They are valid for insurance purposes. In the case of a theft for example, a certificate of authenticity issued by our company will allow you to assert your rights and obtain a coverage of your insurance at the value of the jewel if it is well insured as such. The obsolescence or other discount will not be applied by the companies because our expert is approved and the certificate is authentic. This will never be the case for a certificate or invoice of jewelry. Please note that our expertises are valid for 20 years.
- They are valid for succession. If the jewel you have acquired has virtue to be transmitted, our certificate can serve as an official document attesting to a quality and thus allow its revaluation at the time of transmission. Our certificates are valid with the notaries. Please note that our appraisals are valid for 20 years.
- They are valid for sale. If you decide to resell your jewel one day, the certificate of authenticity signed by our company will be a capital gain. It will allow you to negotiate an interesting buyback offer with regard to the characteristics indicated and guaranteed on the certificate.
Warranty against defects or hidden defects
For any order of a jewel on our site, you benefit from the legal guarantee of the hidden defects fixed by the Code of the consumption and the Civil code:
The legal guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-4 to L.217-14 of the Consumer Code): the professional seller must deliver a good in conformity with the contract. The defects of conformity of a new jewel which appear within 24 months from the delivery of the good are presumed to exist at the time of the delivery, except proof to the contrary. For old or second-hand jewelry, this period is set at 6 months.
The legal guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the civil code): the seller is bound by the guarantee because of hidden defects of the sold jewel which would make it unfit for use or which would decrease its use. This guarantee covers any purchase of a new or used product for 2 years.
If such a problem occurs, we will ask you to return the jewel to us.
Upon receipt, a preliminary expertise of your jewel will take place to identify the origin of the defect. This will be carried out by our two jewelry experts and our workshop manager in order to cross-check our expertise and analysis of the problem.
If the latter confirms that it is a defect or hidden fault, we will take charge of the repair and return of your jewelry. To prove our seriousness, we commit ourselves to repair your jewel free of charge in case of hidden defect, if the repair of the jewel is possible.
All our expertises are guaranteed for 20 years.
If something happens to your jewelry (fall, scratch, snagging, crushing...), please contact us as soon as possible.

The repair or restoration of your jewelry
If your jewelry requires repair or restoration that is not due to a defect or hidden defect (a shock, a scratch, a cutting, the loss of a stone ...), it, if possible, will be charged according to a quotation made by our workshop.
To have your jewel repaired, even several years after your purchase, simply contact us and we will tell you how to send it to us. As soon as we receive it, we will make a quotation to establish the amount of the repairs. If you validate this estimate, our workshops will repair your jewel and it will be sent back to you as soon as possible.
