French 19th Century Gold Silver Hair Memory Brooch

Brooch in silver and 18 Karats yellow gold.
This rare antique memory brooch is composed of an oval motif made of braided hair on a mother-of-pearl tablet set with initials and protected by a glass. The whole is surrounded by a vegetable decoration branches and leaves of ivy delicately chiselled. The clasp is a pin with safety hook.
Length: 5 cm, Width: 4.5 cm, Thickness: 8.3 mm.
Total weight: 23.4 g.
Authentic antique brooch - Work of the second half of the 19th century.
