French 19th Century Sardony Intaglio 18 karat Rose Gold Locket Pendant

Pendant in 18 carat rose gold, eagle head hallmark.
Rectangular in shape and opening, this antique medallion is set on its top with a sardony bearing an intaglio depicting the face and neck of a man in profile. The rim is chased and surmounted by a gold arabesque. Inside, a glass protects a photograph or a lock of hair.
Height : 4 cm approximately, width : 19.6 mm approximately, thickness : 8.2 mm approximately.
Total weight of the jewel : 13,1 g approximately.
Authentic antique jewelry – French work of the 19th century. A few faint signs of age on the back.
