French 19th Century 18 Karat Rose Gold Chiseled Medallion Locket Pendant

Medallion in 18 karat rose gold, eagle head hallmark.
A delightful antique pendant featuring a gold case in the shape of an escutcheon, pierced with arabesque motifs on the front and chased on the back. It is decorated on both sides with gold arabesques and features a large, delicately chased setting of arabesques and gold rings. This antique pendant opens with a hinge on the side and features a compartment separated by a gold circle to hold a precious secret, such as a lock of hair.
Pendant sold alone without its presentation chain.
Height : 5 cm approximately, width : 22 mm approximately, thickness : 6 mm approximately.
Total weight of the jewel : 5,8 g approximately.
