French, 20th Century Ruby Pearl 18 Karat Yellow Gold Medallion

Medallion in 18 karat yellow gold, eagle head hallmark.
Antique medallion of memory, it is of oval shape and decorated in application, on the top, of arabesques patterns made of gold cords. 4 half pearls and a cushion- cut ruby enhance this decoration. It opens with a hinge on the side, and has a small glass circled in gold. The back is smooth.
Weight of the ruby : 0.13 carat approximately.
Height : 3.5 cm, width : 2 cm, thickness : 8.4 mm.
Total weight of the jewel : 5,8 g approximately.
