French 19th Century Lapis Lazuli Natural Pearls 18 Karat Gold Medallion Necklace

Necklace in 18 karat yellow and rose gold, eagle's head and owl hallmarks.
Probably an antique watch chain, this necklace consists of a double English convict link interspersed with patterns made of gold pearls, natural pearls and lapis lazuli pearls, retained by small starfish patterns. An antique medallion oval shaped, is attached to it. It is set on the front with a lapis lazuli plate surrounded by a golden cord and a row of half natural pearls. It opens with a hinge on the side, and presents in its center a crystal rimmed with gold which will make it possible to retain a memory. The clasp is a spring ring.
Pendant dimensions: 1.85 cm at the widest x 3 cm at the highest, pendant thickness: 9 mm, total length of the necklace: 41.3 cm.
Total weight of the jewel: about 20.5 g.
