1900s 18 Karat Yellow Gold Opening Medallion

Pendant in 18 karat yellow gold.
Of oval shape, this antique medallion is chiselled on its 2 faces and engraved of a star on a face and a cross on the other face. This antique pendant opens with a hinge on the side and reveals in its center two spaces separated by a gold-rimmed glass allowing a lock of hair to be placed in memory.
Sold alone without the presentation chain.
Height : 3,2 cm, width : 1,7 cm, thickness : 6,1 mm.
Total weight of the jewel : 5,4 g approximately.
Antique jewel - Work of the beginning of the XXth century. The patterns were probably black enamelled at the time.
